More Than You Ever Wanted to Know About Me
I was born in Philadelphia and lived in Washington D.C., Michigan, and Maryland before my family settled in Florida. I went to school in New England, where I always thought I would live after going to overnight camp there as a kid but was surprised to find that it was not the place for me. I moved to San Diego after grad school because, if there's ever a time to move somewhere just for the heck of it, that seemed like it. Much as I loved the weather and the lifestyle, I thought I'd like to have a house someday and I'm sure most of you know how crazy the housing prices are in California (although lately they're just as bad here!). So off to Portland I went and now I've been here since 1995! How on earth did that happen?!
When I'm not working, my partner Rick and I enjoy exploring all that Portland has to offer, especially if it involves eating or dancing! We love to travel to explore new places every year like Belize in 2020 and Costa Rica in 2025. One day, if we're lucky, we'l make it to Australia and New Zealand. I also like hiking, wandering all the different types of neighborhoods around here, art festivals, pinball, and of course hanging out with my cat. I have started a budding side hustle taking nature photography and trying to sell it. I love the movies, although there's never enough time to see all the ones I would like to, and I have to admit that I can be a world class couch potato, especially during the Oregon fall/winter/spring darkness. Although I know it's bad for me and that I surely live in the wrong place for it, I'm a Florida girl at heart and I love to get some sun.
