More Than You Ever Wanted to Know About Me
I was born in Philadelphia and lived in Washington D.C., Michigan, and Maryland before my family settled in Florida. I went to school in New England, where I always thought I would live after going to overnight camp there as a kid but was surprised to find that it was not the place for me. I moved to San Diego after grad school because if there's ever a time to move somewhere just for the heck of it, that seemed like it. Much as I loved the weather and the lifestyle, I thought I'd like to have a house someday and I'm sure most of you know how crazy the housing prices are in California (although lately they're just as bad here!). So off to Portland I went and now I've been here since 1995! How on earth did that happen?!
When I'm not working, my partner Rick and I enjoy exploring all that Portland has to offer, especially if it involves eating or dancing! I also like hiking, wandering all the different types of neighborhoods around here, wine country, art festivals, pinball, and of course hanging out with my cat. I love the movies, although there's never enough time to see all the ones I would like to, and I have to admit that I can be a world class couch potato, especially during the Oregon fall/winter/spring darkness. Although I know it's bad for me and that I surely live in the wrong place for it, I'm a Florida girl at heart and I love to get some sun.
